Target Planning and Observation-Logging Software

Again, maybe this category isn’t absolutely essential, but with literally hundreds (millions?) of objects to see, it’s definitely helpful. In my case (Doug), I use Starry Night Pro for this purpose too, but others use a program called AstroPlanner. Either way, it’s important to find something with at least basic target planning and observation-logging capabilities so that your observation notes can have a long-term home.
